This software provides a set of scripts for automatically generating DBox2 Neutrino channel lists – a workaround for the automatic transponder scan, which does not work reliably on all DBox2 boxes.
Automatic Zapit Satellite (AZS) is a small collection of scripts that extract the Astra digital TV and digital radio channel lists from internet sources and produce the services.xml and bouquets.xml files used by the Linux operating system on the DBox2 digital satellite receiver.
Current yadi Neutrino versions ship with fairly sophisticated channel scanning software. Unfortunately, it does not work with my DBox2 – most likely because the signal quality is too poor, possibly due to trees blocking the line of sight. The symptom is that an automatic channel scan picks up only a handful of channels, whereas building the channel list from internet sources works without any issues.
The current AZS version fetches the channel list from Lyngsat, which serves a rather broken HTML page containing all digital TV and radio channels. The script cleans up the page with HTML Tidy, then strips it down using an XSL stylesheet. The result is a relatively clean, simple HTML page that is used to generate the services.xml file, which maps channels to satellite transponders. In the next stage, this file serves as the source for the bouquet.xml file, which maps channels to bouquets. This AZS version uses a file called mybouquets.xml that tells the scripts which channels belong to which bouquets. The final step is an automatic upload of the generated files to the DBox2 via FTP using the expect tool.
For the current version, mybouquets.xml must be created manually. It is essentially a services.xml file with a different bouquet assignment. When running AZS for the first time, you execute the services.sh script and then copy the generated services.xml to mybouquets.xml. You then edit the bouquet assignments in that file so that the final services.xml can be generated on the fly on subsequent runs.
./services.sh cp services.xml mybouquets.xml
Edit the mybouquets.xml and adapt the channel to bouqets assignment
When you run the azs.sh script afterwards, it uses the adapted mybouquets.xml to rearrange the services.xml and then uploads the generated files to the DBox2.
./azs.sh
