A solution to create offers from product description fragments, stored in an MS Access database.
This prototype grew out of the VBA project Autotexts. The Microsoft Word Autotext solution did not scale, was unsuitable for concurrent access, and made it difficult to maintain the set of Autotext fragments in a simple Word document template. The company expressed interest in a more professional solution but ultimately decided to go with an already established application.
In this prototype, products are assigned to categories. The category list can be extended freely.

New Product
The button “Edit” can be used to edit the product description.
Under “Settings”, the user can specify the template on which the final offer document will be based, as well as the address database containing customer addresses.

Settings
The “New Offer” button creates a new document based on the specified template. The address is pulled from the customer address database, and the selected product is included in the document.
